Legend has it that it was written by a disciple of Zengzi, eighteen chapters. It is a Confucian book of filial piety, expounding the great law of the king to rule the world with filial piety. The book is divided into two ancient and modern texts, the current text is Zheng Xuan's note, and the ancient text is Kong Anguo's note. The rulers dare not insult the widows and widows, but the people are not good? Therefore, he won the hearts of the people, and took matters to his ancestors.
The ruler of the family does not dare to lose to the concubine, but to the wife? Therefore, to win people's hearts, to do their relatives.
Husband, so the life is pro-peace, sacrifice is the ghost to enjoy, is the world peace, disasters do not arise, disasters do not do. Therefore, the king of the Ming Dynasty ruled the world with filial piety.

In the past, the suburbs of Zhou Gong worshiped Houji to match the sky, and the sect worshiped King Wen in Mingtang to match God, and it was to sacrifice to each of them in the four seas. How can the virtue of a husband and a saint be added to filial piety?
Therefore, the knees of his own children are under the knees to support his parents. The saint is respected because of strictness, and love is taught by his relatives. The teachings of the saints are not solemnized, and their politics are not strictly governed, and the cause of them is also the same.
The way of father and son, nature, and the righteousness of kings and ministers. Parents give birth, and continue to be great; You are here in person, and you can't be heavy.
Therefore, those who do not love their relatives but love others are said to be immoral; Whoever does not respect his relatives but respects others is said to be disrespectful. If you are obedient, you will be rebellious, and if the people are not, it is not about goodness, but about virtue; Although it is obtained, the gentleman is not expensive.
The gentleman is not, his words and thoughts are good, his actions are colain, his virtue and righteousness are respectable, his deeds are lawful, his tolerance is considerable, his advance and retreat are measured, and he is close to his people, and he loves them because of his people's fear, and he is like it. Therefore, it can become its moral religion and carry out its decrees.

Zi said: "The matter of filial piety is also pro, living is to pay respect, raising is to be happy, illness is to be worried, mourning is to mourning, sacrifice is to be strict, the five are prepared, and then they can be relatives."
Those who are close to each other are not arrogant, they are not chaotic for the bottom, and they are not quarrelsome in ugliness; If you are arrogant at the top, you will die, if you are at the bottom and you will be punished, if you are ugly and fight, you will be a soldier, and the three will not be removed. ”
Chapter 11 of the Fifth Penal Code
Zi said: "The five punishments belong to three thousand, and the sin is greater than unfilial piety." The one who wants the monarch is supreme; Those who are not saints cannot be; Those who are not filial and have no relatives are also in this chaos. ”

Zi said: "Teach the people to love, don't be good at filial piety; Teach the people to be obedient and not good at it; Change customs, don't be good at fun; To govern the people in peace, don't be good at courtesy.
Those who salute are just respectful. Therefore, if you respect your father, you will be sorry for your son, if you respect your brother, if you respect your brother, if you respect your king, you will be a minister, and if you respect one person, you will be sorry for tens of millions of people. There are few people who are respected, and there are many people who are evil, which is also the main way. ”

Chapter 15 of the Admonition
Zeng Zi said: "If the husband is loving, respectful, peaceful, and famous, he will obey his fate!" Dare to ask: The son obeys the father's order, can it be described as filial piety? ”
Zi said: "What is it! What a word! In the past, the Son of Heaven had seven contending ministers, although there was no way, he did not lose his world; The princes have five contentious ministers, although they have no way, they do not lose their country; The doctor has three contentious ministers, although there is no way, he does not lose his family; If a soldier has a fight for friends, he will not leave the name; If the father has contention with the son, he will not fall into unrighteousness. Therefore, when it is unjust, the son cannot fight against the father, and the minister cannot fight against the king. Therefore, when the injustice is fought, and the father's order is obeyed, how can it be filial piety? ”
Chapter XVI
Zi said: "In the past, the king of Ming was filial to his father, and the story was bright; Mother's filial piety, the story is investigated; The long and the young are smooth, so the upper and lower are governed; Heaven and earth are clear, and the gods are clear!
Therefore, although the Son of Heaven must have respect, and his words will have a father; There must be a first, and there must be a brother. Jongmiao pays tribute, do not forget relatives; Self-cultivation and prudence, fear and humiliation first; The temple pays tribute, and the ghosts and gods are prescribed. Filial piety is to the gods, light is in the four seas, and everything is all-encompassing.

Zi said: "In the matter of a gentleman, he will be loyal to his thoughts, and he will make up for his mistakes, and he will follow his beauty and save his evil, so he can go on a blind date."

Bereavement Chapter XVIII
Zi said: "The bereavement of a filial son is also, crying is not good, etiquette is not tolerant, words are not literate, the service is uneasy, the pleasure is unpleasant, the food is unwilling, and this grief is also." After three days of eclipsing, the people of the church will not be killed or injured, and they will not be destroyed, and the government of this saint is also; The mourning is only three years, and the people will have an end.
For the coffin, the clothes and the lift; Chen Qi was embarrassed and mourned; Weeping and mourning; Bu Qi's house is a sign and an anchond; For the temple, to enjoy the ghost; Spring and autumn sacrifices, to think about it.
Love and respect in life, mourn in death, and the foundation of life is complete! Prepare for the righteousness of life and death! The matter of filial piety is over! ”
