He said: "It's hard to say." It is also the greatest and most rigid qi, and it is directly nourished and harmless, and it is stuffed between heaven and earth. It is also worthy of righteousness and Tao, and it is not discouraged. It is born of righteousness, and it is taken from the unrighteousness. If you are not careful, you will be discouraged. That's why I said: The confession has not tasted righteousness. Outside of it. There must be things that should not be right, do not forget in the heart, and do not help them. There is no such thing as a Song person. Those who convince others with their strength are not convinced, and they are not supported by their strength; Those who convince people with virtue will be happy and sincere in the center, such as Confucius in the service of the seventy sons. Mencius said: "Benevolence is honor, and unkindness is humiliation." Now the evil humiliation is unkind, and it is the same hatred of wetness and dwelling. If it is evil, it is not as noble as a nobleman. The sage is in power, and the capable are in office; The country is not in a hurry, and the time is clear about its political punishment, although it is a big country, it will be feared. "Poem" cloud: 'The sky is not rainy, through the mulberry soil, and the household is prepared. Now the people here, or dare to insult? Confucius said, "For this poet, he knows!" Who would dare to insult its country if it could govern it? 'Today's country is at leisure, and when it is time, it is to seek its own trouble. Blessings and misfortunes are all those who seek their own blessings. "Poetry" cloud: 'Eternal words are worthy of life, and they seek more blessings. Mencius said: "If the virtuous are enabled, and the handsome are in power, then all the people of the world are happy and willing to stand in their courts." The city, but not the levy, the law but not the law, then the world's businessmen are happy and willing to hide in their market. Close, ridicule but not levy, then the world is happy and willing to come out of its way. If the cultivator helps but does not pay taxes, then the farmers of the world are happy and willing to plough in their fields. If there is no cloth in the house, the people of the world are happy and willing to do it. Whoever believes in these five things will be looked upon by the people of the neighboring countries as if they were their parents. led his children to attack his parents, and there was no one who could help since the beginning of the people. In this way, it is invincible in the world. Those who are invincible in the world are also heavenly officials. However, if you are not a king, you will not be there. ”
Mencius said: "Everyone has a heart that cannot bear others. The first king had the heart of not tolerating people, and Si had the government of not tolerating people. With the heart of unbearable people, the government of unbearable people, and the palm of the world can be transported. Therefore, it is said that everyone has a heart that cannot bear others, and now people see that their children will enter the well, and they all have a heart of compassion; Otherwise, it is not to be friends with the parents of the children, not to be known to the friends of the township party, and it is not to be evil. From the point of view, the heart without compassion is not human, the heart without shame is not human, the heart without resignation is not human, and the heart without right and wrong is not human. The heart of compassion is also the end of benevolence; The heart of shame is also the end of righteousness; The heart of resignation, the end of courtesy; The heart of right and wrong, the end of wisdom. There are four ends of human beings, and there are four bodies. There are those who are four-ended and claim that they can't, and those who are thieves; Those who say that their kings can't, thieves and their kings are also. Whoever has four ends in me, all knowledge is expanded and filled, like the beginning of fire and the beginning of spring. Mencius said, "Aren't Yaren benevolent to the letter people? The arrow person is afraid that it will not hurt people, and the letter person is afraid of hurting people. The same goes for the sorcerer. Therefore, the technique must not be careless. Confucius said: 'Benevolence is beauty.' Choose not to be benevolent, how to be wise? 'Husband, the lord of heaven, and the house of man. Mo Zhiyu is not benevolent, and it is unwise. Unkind, unwise, rude, and unjust, and servant. People are ashamed to serve, and the bow people are ashamed to be bows, and arrows are ashamed to be arrows. If you are ashamed, you should be benevolent. The benevolent one is like shooting: the shooter is the one who shoots himself and then strikes; Those who do not win, do not complain about themselves, but seek for themselves. ”
Mencius said: "Zilu, people tell that they are happy." Yu hears good words and worships. Da Shun has great things, good with others, self-sacrificing from others, and being happy to take from others as good. Self-cultivation, crops, pottery, fishing, and even being the emperor are all those who take from others. He who takes what is good to others is also the one who is good to others. Therefore, a gentleman is very kind to others. ”
Mencius said: "Boyi is not his king, he is not his friend." Do not stand in the court of the wicked, do not speak to the wicked; Standing in the court of the wicked, and speaking to the wicked, such as sitting in the house with the crown of the court. Push the evil heart, think of the villagers to stand, its crown is not right, hope to go away, if it will be muddy. Leave behind without complaining, and be poor without mercy. Therefore, it is said: 'You are you, I am for me; Though you are naked on my side, you can soak me! Therefore, it is necessary to go with it without losing oneself, and to stop with it. Those who stop at aid will also disdain to go. Mencius said: "Boyi Pass, Liu Xia Hui is disrespectful."
